Temple Square

I wish I could have taken a lot more. My camera was in my friend's back pack and I didn't think about getting it out till it was time to go. I shot a few as we were walking out. I have never edited pictures from my little digital camera before but these turned out a ton better then I thought they would.

I wish...

I am obviously a photographer. Shouldn't I have a camera? Ummm yes. Do I have a camera?? Ummm. No I don't. Isn't that the lamest thing you've ever heard? A photographer with out a camera! well... I'm working on it. If I had a job I actually worked at I would have a camera already. All weekend I have been seeing things that I want to take pictures of but didn't have a camera to take them with. I was in Salt Lake for fall break. I was staying at a house directly across the street from the State Capital Building. it was gorgeous especially at night! We even got to tour it. The whole time I was walking through and around it I was crying inside that I didn't have anything to document the experience with! Right when I get my camera I am going to party and drive to all the places that I have been to that I wish I could take pictures at! Also while I was in salt lake I got to walk around temple square and on the temple grounds. Another missed photography experience so sad... Wish me luck on my camera funding. Maybe I will put up some of the pictures I took with my dinky digital camera I bought at Walmart.

Opportunities!

I was talking to a photographer the other day named rick and I was telling him about what I do as an intern. and he thought it was really cool that I am working on doing all I can now before I graduate from high school. He asked me to show him some of the things I have worked on or shot and he wants me to come do a shoot with him so he can see how good I actually am! I'm pretty excited! he has an extra camera that he would let me use. He would just be there to teach me about his camera and different ways of taking a picture! We will be taking pictures of my friend Ryan. I don't know when it is going to happen. When it does I will absolutely get some pictures up.

Baseball

OUT!

Today I went with my boss to her son's baseball game. She let me shoot the majority of the time! It was a baseball game and it was really really hard to get the baseball and the bat in motion all in the same shot! I think that out of 300 photos shot I got about 10 or 15 ones with the ball and bat in motion in the picture. then probably only half out of those ten are actually in focus. It also felt like the hottest day on the planet! What a stupid day! I also discovered today that I need to start workin my arms! that camera is heavy... Its a good 7 to 10 pounds. Luckily I had a fence that I could put my elbows on to hold up the camera and to keep the camera steady from my shaking! But it was a cool experience. I have a greater respect for the professional sports photographers cause that was hard! and it takes a lot of waiting for the exact moment and a freakin lot of patience. Pictures will come soon. Lets hope I get better fast!

Fired!

I had to walk to school today because I am out of gasoline in my big red truck. I realized during lunch that I had my internship to go to today! I had to leave my precious lunch period 20 minutes early so I could walk alllll the waaaay home! As I was walking real fast so I could get everything for my internship, I get a text from my boss, all it says is, "fired!" I was afraid at first then I realized who I was talking to and laughed it off. Haha! Today I am arranging some one's wedding photos in a slide show format, picking out music, and putting it all together. So far it looks really nice. I am really tired today. not in the mood to do anything. Its a good thing  I am not editing photos today. I would get absolutely NOTHING done...

I am going to go get some candy and get back to work.

Movie Night

I am sitting in the studio after a shoot we did tonight of a beautiful bride named Megan! she was so cute... I am really tired and ready to go home. then the boss decided that she wants to see a movie. At first I was like there is no way i am going to see a movie with you on a school night! but then she said she was going to see Charlie St. Cloud! I have been talking about that movie all day. I want to see it so bad. so in about 15 minutes we are going to go watch it! crazy right! what a great boss ;)
